Our story

Hi, I'm Kathy

I'm Kathy Creech, the maker behind Fabri-K-Tions. In my sewing room in Louisville, Kentucky, I design and sew cloth dolls, softies, bags, notebook covers, door knob hangers and plenty of little extras.

Everything here is cut, stitched and finished by me, one piece at a time. When you open a Fabri-K-Tions piece, I want it to feel like it was made just for you, because it was.

How it started

Sewing keeps my soul alive

The start

I've always had a passion for fabrics and threads. I sewed my own clothes as a young adult, and I've made my share of wedding and bridal party dresses.

Slowing down

My mind has always run faster than my body could. Working with my hands is how I focus my thoughts and slow down enough to enjoy life. I started with cross-stitch, then moved on to wall hangings, broom covers, basket lids and towels.

Today

Then I learned embroidery and quilting, which let me make more detailed patterns and designs. What began as a hobby at my dining room table is now a part-time job in a spare bedroom of our home. Most days from 4:30 to 7:00 pm, you'll find me in the sewing room. One day I'd like sewing to be my full-time work.

The difference

What goes into every piece

01

Signature style

Some designs are all mine, and some start from a pattern I love. Either way, I pick every fabric and add my own touches, so no two pieces come out the same.

02

Sewn one at a time

Each piece is cut, sewn and finished in Louisville, with names and details stitched on my embroidery machine.

03

Made for you

Want it in your colors or with a name added? Most pieces can be made to order, and names on doll uniforms and notebooks are just $5.

1000 stitches to
Fab-U-lous

In embroidery, work is counted by the thousand stitches. Every piece I make takes plenty of them, and every one is worth it.

Thank you for letting me bring joy and color to your world when you take home one of my pieces.
